Please create a menu that will allow just sound or just name or have them appear when tapped or even something where we could turn off word, name, or sound.
All parents should have this. Kudos to the developer
Please keep adding animals .. I was surprised their wasnt a cat. This is a start and has some potential.
It has potential but clearly need to have more database. Most of all, if its for iPad, the quality of images should be much better. Pixels are broken. Cant see the images clearly.
DISTURBED..... Over a free app : This app isnt worth downloading until developer updates app. Here are a few suggestions to developers: 1) The graphics are absolutely horrible quality, invest in LARGER and CLEARER images!!! Im shocked you would settle for the images you provided in the app. 2) Increase the size of the animals names. If this is to be a learning game... Try much LARGER and COLORFUL font. 3) The names of the animals are inconsistent. Also try generic animal names like SHEEP or GOOSE. If you are going to give the gender specific name, try adding ALL genders/babies i.e., STALLION, MARE, COLT, GOSLING, EWE, KID, LAMB, KIT, SOW, BOAR, PIGLETS, etc... Or even sub-categories so children can see the names in the "family". Whatever you decide.... be consistent!! 4) Way too many animals are missing and can easily be added if the developer just takes the time to do it. 5) Have an option for children to spell the animals, and/or unscramble them. 6) The lefthand column has an alphabet running down it.... Why?!? Seems useless, a waste of real estate, and an after-thought. In the future, get more feedback BEFORE launching apps. Best of luck, sorry for being so harsh... (But I know I gave you some great feedback for your update)
I would suggest getting another person to do the narration. If that is not possible, please give an option to turn sound off. Other than that I would have given this app a 3 star. My son loves selecting the animals.
The picture is fine, but I wish it showed their habitat. Come on, dog? There are lots of species they could have put. There are sounds in the background so I cant tell what the animal sound is! Do not get, even if free!
For some reason I dont have animals for first few letters... Is that normal?
I had this animal name and sound video on tube but was looking for the same in App. Perfect... Super 5 star...
Its ok for a free app, You get what you pay for...
Ok given it is free. But concept good. Also, could start with some more household names instead of launching straight into the more esoteric ones
a simple app ok for a toddler as is. If this app is updated please use lower case letters for the spelling feature. That would make it more beneficial for preschoolers. It would help new readers to see the words as they would see them in books (lower case letters) not all caps a kindergarten teachers nightmare!
I used to love having my babies play with this app. Since I updated, it now includes freaking banner ads for automobiles. Now the cant play with this app without tapping on an ad and leaving the app. This wasnt free software, I PAID for this. I wouldnt have paid for this if I knew it was going to be ad supported. I want my money back.
The insect labeled bee is actually a fly that looks like a bee, also known as a bee fly. The animal labeled a doe is obviously also a fawn. If animals are going to be labeled by gender then this app should also show what the general species is called for both sexes i.e. doe and buck are both deer. The beaver and badger have the same sound effect. Which is the correct one? Please correct these items mentioned. Other than that, this is a decent flash card app to learn animals, except some changes need to be made. There should also be upper and lower case lettering for spelling, and the font needs to be bigger, flash forward, or more pronounce in some way.
No options so the animal name is announced every time. Some sounds dont even play.
This app is good for kids to explore the sounds that different animals make and learn the names of animals. It has a nice variety and large number of animals. Unfortunately, the pictures of the creatures are not a consistent size: the lion was tiny on the screen and the fly was huge is just one example. While it is great that the pictures are actual photos, they are not extracted well and were poor quality (many were pixelated). In addition, the sound quality was mediocre. Many of the animal sounds were garbled. This could be a very good app if more attention were given to these things and brought up to a quality that uses the potential of the iPad.
This game was great until the most recent update. Who thought it was a good idea to put ads in an app for small children? Now we cant go more than fifteen seconds without clicking on some ad that takes us away from the activity.
My kids love this app but i dont like the Orca since it sounds like a seal and I dont want my kids confused.
You choose the cow and it moos. Its very simple. I especially love the noise the beaver makes. ¡¡¡¡Aeeeeblazzz!!!!
